May we introduce ourselves? We are the Patscheider family, your hosts with passion, who love our homeland of South Tyrol and everything it stands for. Our small family is made up of Helga Patscheider, hostess and powerhouse, Helmut “Helly” Eberhöfer, cook and culinary master, and Jannik, our son and sunshine. Together as the third generation, we run the Hotel Anigglhof.
I was born and raised in sunny Upper Vinschgau. Even as a child, I knew that one day I wanted to take over the Anigglhof. For me, hospitality is not just a job – it is my passion. I love making our guests feel at home, showing them genuine warmth and sharing the beauty of our homeland. Before this dream became reality, I gained valuable experience in various hotels and managed the Schliniger Alm for five years. This time taught me how wonderful it is to host people, bring them joy and give them unforgettable moments. Today, I am passionate about continuing what my family has built: a place of warmth, authenticity and tranquillity – the Anigglhof. My favourite place? Without a doubt – my home and the mountains. Here I feel freedom, gratitude, contentment and the feeling of being exactly where I belong.
I have been able to call Schlinig my home since 1998. Love brought me here, love for Helga, for the Anigglhof and for our incomparable natural surroundings on the edge of the beautiful Vinschgau Valley in South Tyrol. Before I discovered my passion for cooking, I worked as a self-employed carpenter for several years. Today, I work with other raw materials from nature – fresh, regional ingredients, which I use to conjure up hearty dishes with joy and creativity. My goal: to bring our guests closer to the taste of South Tyrol, authentic, honest and unadulterated. From carpenter to chef, perhaps an unusual path, but exactly the right one for me. It has led me to what I now live with complete conviction: genuine hospitality and down-to-earth cuisine in the heart of the Vinschgau Valley. And when I'm not in the kitchen, I'm busy with the renovation and planning work at the Anigglhof because creating new things and implementing ideas is also one of my passions. If there's any time left, you'll find me behind the wheel of my Lancia Delta, racing up mountains, where adrenaline and precision are just as important as in the kitchen.
Our Jannik loves action, fast engines, and life on the move. But he also tackles his professional life with enthusiasm: he completed his training as a service specialist at the Hotel Das Gerstl Alpine Retreat over a period of four years, gaining valuable experience in the upscale hotel industry. His curiosity and willingness to experiment even took him to Barcelona, where he completed training as a bartender. Jannik currently works for Red Bull Catering in Formula 1 and travels around the world—always to places where passion, energy, and precision are in demand. Despite all these exciting experiences, one thing remains clear: his heart beats for his homeland and the Anigglhof. His big goal is to one day continue the family business in its fourth generation with fresh ideas, international know-how, and the same warmth that has always characterized the Anigglhof.
