A warm welcome and “Griaß di!” from Val Venosta/Vinschgau

May we introduce ourselves? We are the Patscheider family, your hosts with passion, who love our homeland of South Tyrol and everything it stands for. Our small family is made up of Helga Patscheider, hostess and powerhouse, Helmut “Helly” Eberhöfer, cook and culinary master, and Jannik, our son and sunshine. Together as the third generation, we run the Hotel Anigglhof.

Helga Patscheider, born and raised in Val Venosta/Vinschgau

I’m Helga and since 1970, I’ve had the pleasure of living in this beautiful place I call home. I will always be grateful for the fact that I grew up here in sun-kissed Alta Val Venosta/Obervinschgau and that I have experienced and learned, from an early age on, one of the most beautiful professions in the world: taking care of guests. It has always been clear to me that one day I would like to take over my parents’ hotel.In the time in between, I refined my skills in various hotels and also managed the Slingia/Schlinig Alm, a hut for snacks and refreshments, for several years. As long as I can remember, I have spent every free minute during winter on skis. There is simply no place I would rather be than here, in Val Venosta/Vinschgau.

Helmut Eberhöfer, from carpenter to cook

My name is Helly and I have called Slingia/Schlinig home since 1998. My love for Helga, for the Anigglhof, and for the incomparable nature here on the outskirts of South Tyrol lured me to this magnificent place. Before I discovered my passion forcooking, I worked as a self-employed carpenter for several years. Today, I work with different kinds of raw materials and construct South Tyrolean culinary moments of delight for our guests. From carpenter to cook – perhaps an unusual, but very personal path that led me to happiness. When I’m not in the kitchen with my pots and pans, you can find me racing my Lancia Delta in the mountains.
